How does the Opus Plasma device work?

What can I expect during an Opus Plasma treatment?
We begin by applying a topical numbing anesthetic to the target area to minimize discomfort during the session. After numbing for about 30 minutes, we glide the Opus Plasma handpiece across the skin as it emits the radiofrequency and plasma energy. Once the procedure is finished, we apply protective skincare. Patients may notice slight redness and swelling after the treatment, but it resolves on its own within 24 to 48 hours in most cases. More aggressive treatment settings can extend downtime. Most patients see results after a single treatment, but we recommend 3 treatment sessions for optimal results.
What kind of benefits does the Opus Plasma provide?
Because we can adjust the treatment’s intensity, virtually anyone with concerns about their skin’s appearance is a good candidate for an Opus Plasma procedure. It produces results similar to an aggressive CO2 laser or a gentle laser peel, depending on the setting used. The difference with Opus Plasma is that the pain level, and treatment and recovery times are minimal compared to similar laser treatments.
The benefits of an Opus Plasma treatment include:
- Reduced appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and loose / saggy skin
- Overall skin rejuvenation
- Minimized acne scars, surgical scars, and stretch marks
- Reduced pore size
Yet another Opus Plasma advantage:
Smooth out under-eye bags without the surgery!
The Opus Plasma Colibri tip allows pinpoint application of plasma energy to safely get close to the eye orbit. Lasers usually can’t address wrinkles or bags right around the eye socket, and eye bag surgery (blepharoplasty) can be invasive, expensive, and necessitates longer recovery times. With the Colibri tip, We can work right around the eye to target crows feet, eye bags, and crepey skin texture.
