How does the Emsculpt NEO work?

Emsculpt NEO is a one-of-a-kind innovative non-surgical device that simultaneously treats both muscle and fat–dramatically changing the tone and appearance of the treated area. Emsculpt NEO delivers radio frequency (RF) energy to destroy fat while also administering high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) pulses that stimulate the muscles in the treatment area. The RF energy disrupts the nucleus and membranes of the fat cells, and the body flushes the cells over time as they die. The HIFEM energy causes both muscular hypertrophy (growth of existing muscle fibers) and hyperplasia (creation of new muscle fibers). It is important to note that these energy delivery modalities do not allow for the treatment of patients who may have metal (pacemaker, artificial joint, copper IUD, etc.) near the treatment areas. By delivering these two optimal therapies in one combined session, Emsculpt NEO provides great results and increased confidence in less time and for less cost.

Studies indicates that 4 sessions (once per week) is equivalent to 12-16 weeks of high intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts. Each 30-minute session cycles your muscles through about 20,000 supramaximal contractions. There are specific device attachments that allow a patient to address a wide range of muscle groups and/or common fat deposit areas, including: abs, love handles, biceps, triceps, outer thighs, inner thighs, quadriceps, glutes, hamstrings, and calves.

What can I expect during an Emsculpt NEO treatment?

Please arrive for your treatment well-hydrated! After check-in, we will place the appropriate Emsculpt NEO attachments on the body part(s) to be treated. Each treatment takes 30 minutes; some patients choose to do sequential treatments on two different areas. Once we start the device, you will experience heat and involuntary muscle contractions in the affected area. The heat and the strength of the contractions are fully adjustable according to your comfort level. Many patients find that they can increase the intensity as the treatment progresses. After treatment, there is no down time…you are free to resume normal activities (make sure to keep hydrating). We recommend 4-6 weekly treatments, and optimal fat loss & muscle building results are exhibited about 3 months after the last treatment.

What kind of benefits does the Emsculpt NEO provide?

Data from clinical studies indicates that, after completing a series of about 4-6 treatments, patients see an average of 30% less fat and 25% more muscle in the treated area.
